Acceptable Use Policy

Before using the Manchester Wheelers' Club website and forum we ask all users to agree to a website acceptable use policy. This is for legal reasons and also to guard against offensive or inappropriate content. We reserve the right to remove users that post content that is in breech of these guidelines.

What do you need to do

  • Please download and read the acceptable use policy
  • If you agree to comply then please reply to admin@manchesterwheelers.co.uk with the following information:

For everyone...
- Full Name
- Email Address
- Forum Username (if applicable)

For all non members...
- Address
- Phone number
- Date of birth

What happens next?

  • Anyone who has confirmed their agreement to the acceptable use policy and provided the details as requested will be deemed to be subject to the terms of the policy with effect from the date of this email.
  • All personal information collected will he held securely and in accordance with the Club's website privacy policy and any other privacy policies adopted by the Club.
  • Anyone that hasn't agreed with the terms of use  and/or who has not supplied the requested details will have their logon disabled.
  • Anyone that has agreed with the terms of use but is not recognised as a member will have their logon restricted to a non member area only.
  • Any users who change their mind or have  been missed can be reactivated at a later date. Please contact admin@manchesterwheelers.co.uk .
  • We will block any users that post inappropriate or offensive content.

What will happen when new people try to register?

  • When new people try and register on the forum they will be sent a copy of the terms by emails and asked to confirm their details
  • If the details match the membership list their forum account will be activated
  • If they aren't yet a member they will be given access to the non members section only
  • If they do not reply and accept the terms they will not be able to use the forum

The forum will continue to be open for anyone to read but only members will be able to post messages in all but the non member section.

Accuracy of information

This website contains content added by our members so we cannot guarantee the information is accurate. You should always check the official organisations websites for details of all events.

All of our rides and events are run by volunteers so there may be circumstances when they are cancelled or changed at late notice.
