Manchester Wheelers promote several open events each year. These are organised and run by our members and open to any clubs and members affiliated to the relevant organisations. The events for this year are listed below - more information will follow shortly but in the meantime please keep these dates in mind. Hopefully several members will be competing in these events but we will also need lots of help with marshalling and other jobs on the day.

2011 Details :
The Wheelers are promoting the 5th Round of the North West Cyclo-Cross League at Boggart Hole Clough with three races for under 12’s, youth and a senior/women/junior and vest combined race. Racing starts with the Youths at 11.15, the Under 12’s go at 12 and the Senor race at 1pm on one of the best Cross courses in the North – featuring two run-ups, one set of jump boards, field, woods and tarmac to test the best cross rider.
Last year’s winner was none other than National Vets Cross Champion, 2011 Three Peaks Winner, MTB legend and thoroughly nice bloke, Nick Craig.
Both cross bikes and MTB’s are welcome but you’ll be faster on a cross bike for sure. Come and race – we hopefully will get close to 10 Wheelers racing - or marshall/chat with club mates. It’s been a grand day out for the Club over the last couple of years and this year should be no exception with some high quality racing at the head of each field. Fingers crossed for the weather!
