I think Viv's suggestion that we girlies get together for a catch-up/meet new members is a great idea. We could either make it a lazy night with no riding or add some food & drink on to a ride. Could girlies post here as to suggested dates and preferred options.
Thanks.
Gill

Would it be ok if I came along? We could take some arty photos of us all, draped over our bikes.
Do my thighs look big in this?

Back to Gills original suggestion, sounds great and a few others said yes to the original email. I can normally move things around so any time, prefer mon, tue, wed or fri.

Hello all,
Tuesday evenings (lazy one or after an short ride) or Sunday lunchtimes seemed from the poll to be the times when most people were available. Town would probably be sensible for a non-riding get together; maybe somewhere cheap and cheerful like Croma, Tampopo etc? If anyone wanted to meet in Didsbury after a ride, I have a garage to store bikes...
hopefully see you all soon

Hi Jordan,
Does Peter approve of you cycling? Gravity must be an issue for you obviously.

Yes up for this!
Gill - suggest you just pick a date in a couple of weeks or so and those that can make it can. As with Viv, avoid Thursdays! (how is a girl meant to swim, cycle and run all at the same time! - what IS it with Thursdays!)

I am planning on having a pre-knee surgery night out on Saturday the 26th July to make the most of my last few days of mobility, which everyone is welcome to. Plans tbc....

sorry it's taken me 3 years to reply Jordan. How about a ride in the afternoon of 26/7 and then night out? Any takers?

Currently trying to learn to ride in a straight line on new bike which is interesting so a ride this week might be a bit dangerous (for everyone else!). How's about we all try and meet up at the club hill TT next Thursday even if people are not riding. We can at least then all catch up and support everyone else climbing the Cat at the same time.

What do you mean not riding, did you not read the small print when you joined saying you have to do the club hill climb?!
I’m going to do it even though it’s not my strong point, it’s definitely do-able for any of you if you want to. If not then it’s a great idea to ride out anyway, be good if we had somewhere to go after for food too.
Just hope the weather is better than last year...

I'm also away on the 24th - 27th, sorry Jordan! Hope you had a good ride last night, bit breezy but looked like a lovely evening for it.

No worries if people can't make the 26th - it's an existing night out anyway. I'm not going to be able to ride that afternoon as have some friends coming to stay, but would be able to do the morning.
Even though I have a legitimate excuse not to actually do the Hill Climb, I could make next Thusday!

I'll definitely have a go, but not on the new bike as I'll probably get stuck somewhere on a big hill (need to learn how to change gear first!). How did Jerry go on the C&F on his TT bike last Sunday?

Before you ladies go out can one of you attend to your domestic duties and pop to down to the intervals circuit at Heaton Mersey industrial estate...
... there's a lot of glass in the road that needs sweeping up, 3 of us chaps suffered punctures last night and it would jolly decent of you if you'd clear it up before the next session
