As some of you know my amazing nephews, Christian and Niggy, were killed out while out cycling in Cumbria in December 2010.
To celebrate their life and love of the sport, the Team Townend Pushbike Challenge was put together by their brothers and friends last year and we're running it again this year. It's a day out on our bikes in amazing terrain over a four tough Lakeland passes on the longer route from the base in Loweswater.
The ride for Christian and Nigs is on Sat 28th April with more details here - http://www.teamtownend.org/. You can enter online via the link on BC’s website under Sportives - http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details/77288/Team-Townend-Pushbike-Challenge-2012. The ride raises money for Roadpeace - http://roadpeace.org/
Be great to have some of you along for the day. We’ll do some more organising closer to the time for those interested (Friday night get together, more Sat details and a Sunday ride again) and if you’re staying over, there should be some camping but you should book any hotels/B&B’s soon.
Post up or PM me if you need further details. Thanks, Mick.

Hello Mick, I've entered again, last year was a really good ride and a really good event and I'm looking forward to doing it again.
Paul.

Hi Mick, don't think I'll be able to make the ride but looking at the Roadpeace website it seems like a great charity so it's going to the top of my list for LEJoG sponsorship.
