Well not so much a chainy but a good 2.5 hours of tempo. The roads were not that bad. I've ridden in worse.
We even managed a good few laps on the partington bmx circuit whilst discussing which races to enter.
Those who did not venture out I hope it was only because you were iced into your estate.

I take it you don't have kids then Rothers? Some of us were stood by the side of a footie pitch for 2 hours freezing our arses off watching 9 year olds play footie.

I had a gorgeous slippy ride. Prestwich, Bury and Radcliffe are so picturesque at this time of year...

I never came out because I decided it would be detrimental to my health at the current time. Did I want to come out? Yes. edited by LeHub on 28/01/2012

hi there, what sort of average speeds are you doing on the chain gang at the moment, not sure if my tank could get up to and maintain speed above 21mph, could always cut down mudflaps, x1 bottle only, x1 innertube, x1 tyre lever and smallest lights I can get hold of and try and loose even more weight!! , Gordon. or stick to hills

Average can be quite low sometimes. Some sections we'll get up to 25 av for a while. But 2 groups sometimes form towards the end so I reckon you'll be fine. Don't forget it's easier in a group. If you're unsure or want to get a bit fitter come along to the cheadle circuits on Wednesdays. That way if you get dropped you just wait a couple of mins and we'll be back round!

Cheers again for those who braved the chill this morning, timed the snow to perfection with the first few flakes falling just as we rolled back into dids. See you all soon.

Thanks Tom. Good session. Have now worked out that my ski gloves are the answer to the current temperatures. If I can work out a way to get cleats on the bottom of my ski boots I might be able to keep my feet warm.

Well it did feel -7 and was below 0 most of the day, my lungs would not take temps like that, I could not get my legs started this morning.
