£25 for 10 minutes eerrrm?? Makes The Rake even more attractive! Oh well my grandad will turning in his grave! He - Jimmy Lawson and his life long friend Frank Waring held the tandem record for the mersey tunnel way back in the 1930's! - anyone know who holds that record now?

I take it the traffic will be stopped on said date? Why on earth would you want t o ride through the Mersey Tunnel? I didn't particularly enjoy driving through it in my delivery days.

Err I assume you are referring to now Tony? - in the 1930's there was bugger all traffic! - spoke to my dad earlier and he seems to think that the record they set was never broken - due to the banning of bicycles in the tunnel! take it easy dude!

I rode this, it was a great event, I would definitely recommend riding it next year if it is on again!
