What were your ups and downs?

My Highs included:
Finishing in the top 40 of the 2010/11 NW Cyclocross league
Just managing to keep up with Kev, Eugene and the TT night crew on the few occasions I made it out!
Majorca with the Wheelers - Brill
Completing the Dragon Ride, a day trip to Hull, Way of the Roses - Morecambe to Bridlington and L'Etape Acte II
Enjoying the cameraderie in the Club on various Sunday rides, Hills to the north, off road to Bolton and back, Eureka Cafe, Manchester Blackpool train, etc
Reading the forum.

Low point was never really getting going on the 2011/12 CX season, then breaking a rib doing DIY when I should have been riding my bike - That'll teach me!

Many thanks to all of you involved in running the club and leading rides. Best wishes to you all and look forward to riding with you in 2012.

Right where's the bar

Toast

Up: improving my time for a 10 by over 4 mins
Down: getting worse throughout the season after that

My real 'up' was that my g/f moved up from Surrey though.

Andy - did you do what I did in my first racing season, train like a madman until the first event then thought I could manage with just racing?
No wonder my performances didn't improve.

My highlights of 2011 were: taking early retirement (I love it), celebrating my 65th birthday and also my 40th wedding anniversary.
Best of all having the very great honour of being elected club president.

The low point of the year was without doubt losing my good friend and club stalwart; Gordon Buchanan.

Best wishes to everyone in Wheelers' World - I hope you all achieve your goals for 2012.
