I posted up a womens ride today but as i expected due to the weather no one turned up and it was too late to cancel when it sleeted down at 8.20 this morning. My plan was to cycle down to the gateway meeting place and give it 15 mins ,if no one turned up then home and to the gym where it ws nice and warm . Colin and Mark were there for the chain gang and a couple of new new guys.I think they felt sorry for me and invited me to join them .Damn things werent quite going to plan now .Anyway i am so so glad that i went out. I would like say a great big thankyou to Colin and Mark who looked after me,they were incredibly patient .It was freezing cold and my feet were numb but so glad i didnt go to the boring gym.I ride solo regularly so that wasnt the issue ,it was the freezing cold weather that was affecting my motivation and in future i wont let it.Thanks again guys.

Hi Jayne.
It was great to have you along in what were pretty challenging conditions. Especially above Shrigley.
Ice, rain, sleet, snow and a couple of minutes of sunshine.
Just the kind of morning I love to be on a bike...
You did really well, repeat that circuit often enough and you'll be flying!
It took half an hour to warm my feet up when I got back.
I need better overshoes!

Jayne, I would echo what Mark has said. Everybody got something from the ride and that's what matters. I've been off the bike for best part of a month so for me it was just good to get out again.
