Big thanks to Eugene for leading the ride out today.

It was my first time doing more than 40 miles so I hopefully didnt slow you down too much.

Couldn't have wished for better weather, absolutely gorgeous!

Wish I could have stopped at the greyhound for a drink but I had plans this afternoon, and my legs were prime for seizing if I didn't plough on!

Thanks again to everyone there for making it a great day!

It was nice to have someone else taking it 'steady'!

Totally agree about the weather, especially as the freeze appears to be taking hold this morning!

See you next time!

Now listen here - we dont encourage fair weather riders in this club In old days that would have had you hauled before the commitee!
Nowt wrong with the weather this morning - Gritters had been out in the country lanes and the frosty hedges and fields made for a very pleasant ride in.
Managed to get the 40 miles into work done before 9am and with a stop at the local store for the days food and all without a squeeky bum tyre slippage moment.

Haha. Yeah most people generally pretend to be busy or ill before admitting they didn't fancy riding in bad weather

I agree though, yesterday was a great day to be a cyclist.

hehehe, i was merely pointing out the obvious contrast ;-)

Does going swimming training at 6 in the morning count as being busy?

What's included in 'the days food' rothers?

Some people are fair-weather cyclists: get over it bit mixed today - low cloud over Chinley.
+1 on the thanks to Eugene.
Anyone have a .gpx for the ride or has posted it online?
