does anyone know if the Lass O'Gowrie is bike friendly, i.e. somewhere safe to leave a bike? God forbid ;-) but I may have to cycle there as my wife has the car

In general there are places to lock up a commuter bike outside and i've not known any issue. I'm unsure on taking bikes in.
Also what time are we meeting?

It's not a big pub, so you'd probably have to leave it outside. That said, it's probably mostly students passing, and I've never seen any trouble outside.

It's 7pm meet for 7.30pm start.
I've been to bike related things there before and people locked their bikes to the railings outside. Wasn't aware of any issues and the group concerned use it as a regular meeting place so as much as you can trust anywhere it seems okay. Plenty of passing foot traffic too which helps.

I might pop along if I'm not feeling rough like I do today.

I'm definitely going, since it's only a five minute walk. They do good beer, too.

I'm afraid I can't make it any more tonight, I'm having to cover a night shift at work. Hope its a good session with a good turnout again!

Just a quick note to say thanks to Si for a really interesing and informative talk last night. It was great to get a proper insider's view of how to improve when you've got a job, family etc, and to learn how to work arund the different trade offs in time that need to be made. I'm now going to start putting Si's advice into practice!

John, thanks for organising last nights talk, a really great evening. Si, you are an absolute font of training knowledge and it was greatly appreciated that you took the time out to give us the benefit of what I'm sure is just the tip of the iceberg of information that's inside your head. I would love to attend another if there's one in the pipeline for the future, and, if like me, you fancy having a crack at racing, I think being able to tap into someone like Si B, could prove invaluable.
Cheers, Tony.
See y'all next month.
