Hey is anyone doing the Manchester 100 this year?

Last year was a lot of fun chasing that guy from the Alps (until I got stopped at traffic lights and blew up trying to get back on the train)

Posted in the general forum so that none "members" can post too.

I'm doing it although not at the same speed as 'that guy from the Alps' I've set a ride time target of 5hrs 15 mins.

My official start time is 7:00am, but back in the real world, meet in the park at 7:30 and set off at 7:45

I believe there's a handful of wheelers planning on riding it . . . . .

Ill be there 7.30 ready fro 7.45 set off. What are the plans about stopping? Or do we bring enough snacks and drink to keep on the move with maybe a swift shop stop.
Weather is looking ok but it looks like a strong wind not in our favour side wind out, head wind then side wind back , will sort the men from the boys

Two ways to approach it,

ride it as 2x50 mile rides, 50 miles straight to the half way point for lunch (at about 10:30 am) then 50 miles back.
OR
ride it as 4x25mile rides, stopping at each feeding station to top up bottles etc

As for the wind, I'll sit on the front and act as windbreak
