This isn't strictly cycling but just found out about a couple of particularly noteworthy achievements from a couple of girls in the club...

Anna Luton was the first woman home for England in the mountain race in Colorado : "Lupton, 32, had been selected to run for her country in the gruelling 13 mile World's Long Distance Challenge, the Pikes Peak Race, and showed superb form by being the fifth woman overall and first English competitor in a time of 2hr 46m 36secs.The event an uphill only race climbed 7,815 feet. Sadly only two English girls finished and three were needed to qualify for a team prize but the English men's team came in second place."

Pippa Taylor : 9th overall out of 65ish boats and first lady at the national championships (im not too up on sailing, Pip will have to fill in the details!)

Amazing. Im trying to find out how John Brown got on too. Anyone know.
