Is anyone able to add a ride for September? The rides list is completely empty for next month and have had a couple of enquiries asking if we shut for winter!
Im including myself in this, ill get organised and add a ride up too. Any type/time/location is fine - your ride, your rules. edited by viv on 19/08/2010

I think a few are doing the manchester 100 on the 5th.
Stuck up an intro on the 12th, should be a nice recovery from said 100

sorry folks, but I'm going to have to wuss out of the ride I had planned for 19th. I had a chest/throat infection that kept me off the bike, but gave in the temptation to start riding again before it had fully cleared up and it came back even worse.
the curry and kebab diet seems to be shifting it - but better give it another week or so to be on the safe side

You're a star, thanks Ben. The people that organise rides keep the club going so 'BIG UP Y'ALL'!

I plan on putting up rides for next Saturday/Sunday closer to the date as long as I have nothing on which should be pretty likely. Probably a faster ride on Saturday, rolling (because there ain't no flat in Cheshire), then hillier, but does anyone want faster rides at this time of year, like 18-20avg that's all. edited by Hub.Willhub on 09/09/2010

Damn....yes was there not an idea of having a ride out to the state on sat for a nosey? I'm definatly game for changing saturdays run to something like that if people are up for it/can give a hand with the route?

Cheers Ben sounds a good plan.
Re the TOB, the start is in Rochdale at 10.30 and it heads north from there. Would be good to head towards Edenfield and Rawtenstall to see them on route. Theres some really nice hilly riding once you get out that way too. Having said that, I don't think i'm going to have time to organise a ride out as need to be back for 12sh so i might drive part way and have a ride from there instead. If anyone wants to go, let me know, sure we can work something out. http://www.tourofbritain.co.uk/_ns_race/default.asp?section=stage1_route edited by viv on 10/09/2010

Actually, wow, looks like the Irwell Sculpture trail from city centre or Prestwich goes all the way out off road to meet the TOB route. Shame i have to be back early, would be good to try it on cross bikes.

Think its Cheshire tomorrow Nicci, as per the ride on the rides page. Usual Saturday morning thing, only one hill really near the start and the rest is more or less flat and no one gets left behind.
