It was a great day for us yesterday at the 50.
For starters Charles did a 9 minute PB (!!!) to win the handicap comp, Si did a 7 minute course PB, Scott did a storming 1:53:58 and Ian W did 2:02:? which we think gave us enough for the team prize. We're waiting for comfirmation but fingers crossed.
In the womens my lack of racing showed and while i felt comfortable and far less destoyed at the end than last year i was slow. My time was about the same as 2009 but was beaten by 10 minutes into 2nd place which put into perspective what should be possible on that course. I was happy with it though and good to see so many women racing.
All in all, a good day.

Report now up on Bikeradar... http://bit.ly/dgSuws

Good to see 'Manchester Wheelers' mentioned so many times...

Top ride Charles, that's a serious PB. Looks like we might have a 'Wheelers' trip to the M&DTTA dinner to collect the silverware Big Grin

So we did win the team prize?! FANTASTIC!!!! Great result for the club, nice one fellas.

The fact i was beaten by 10 minutes didnt need to be made *quite* so obvious i thought. Must try harder.

Hang on...they had a helicopter at the MDTTA 50 to get an arial shot of Alf Hilton? Im impressed.
