Hey guys,

just started taking cycling semi seriously for the past month or so and have managed about 130 miles in total whenever I can fit it in.

Best I seem to manage currently in terms of speed is 10 miles in about 40 mins, and length was about 35 miles at about 13mph so need to work on speed and endurance!

What kind of times should I be aiming for before I start on club rides?

cheers,

matt

Hi Mango - if you have a look on the front page of the website under the "Rides" section, you'll see some references to upcomign Intro rides that some club members are running. If you can, try to come along on one of these and see how you enjoy it.

Cheers

Cheers for the reply, I have had a look at the rides list but don't think I'm fast enough or have enough stamina for an club rides yet. Was just really enquiring as to what level of fitness people were at before they considered club rides?

You should be ok on one of the intro rides. Remember you'll gain another couple of mph just by riding in a group
