Good ride today led by Dave Brett, despite the persistant headwind.
I got a puncture (my 2nd of the day)! after hitting a pothole at the back of Wythenshaw park, with no more spares and despite making a patchwork quilt out of the innertube it was shot and would not hold any pressure. Therefore I would like to thank Sam who was on the way home from walking his dogs and offered to give me and my bike a lift home -things like that restore faith in humanity - thanks Sam.

Sh*t dude, didn't realised you'd punctured! Becks said you'd hit a bump and were checking your bike out so we carried on, Sorry matey!
Nice ride other than that poxy wind though eh?

No worries, seemed pointless holding everyone up being so close to home so I shouted to carry on. Potholes punctures and wind are the three bains of my life
Have stripped and rebuilt the rear axle but can't get the wheel to sit central in the frame! one for the shop pros I think.

How far did you go in the end? I knew I was running out of steam so glad I took the shorter route with Dave (I think it was Dave). I did enjoy it though

Not surprised your ass is sore you def need some padded shorts / tights and the road surfaces were crappola, put them on your shopping list along with shoes and cleats
Think you did pretty well though tbh, it was a quick pace and a fair distance to cover on your second ride!! We went great budworth, somewhere else, lymm, altrincham and home - about 65 miles or so.
Glad you enjoyed it - see you next week for more punishment.
