Abbie - I've got your application form, which will be considered* at tonight's committee meeting. You'll receive a welcome email and various instructions re the forum following that, which should give you access to all parts of the forum.

Glad you enjoyed the ride the chaps put on.

Tom

*We say "considered" as if there's a lengthy debate...

Hi Abbie,

Glad you enjoyed the ride. You put in a great effort, keep up the good work.

If you fancy some new shoes & pedals there are a few examples here..
No grippy soles, more 'race' look, harder to walk in...

grippy soles, easier walking...

All will work with these pedals...

Evans have a store on Deansgate where you could try some on for sizes & fit before buying on-line. Prices start about £20 on some websites like CRC, but a fair bit more instore.

We're back on the higher mileages this weekend, come & join us.

Strong performances from some of the lads on Sunday too. Hope to see you back out again soon.
There's a fast training session on Tuesday, meet at the Gateway 6:30pm. On Wed there's a 30mile ride on easy roads, leaving the Gateway at 7pm.
All welcome,
Cheers, P.

Nice. Look forward to joining you again soon!

0o0oh they do ones that are both normal and clip pedals! What does SPD stand for anyway?

Shimano's SPD (Shimano Pedaling Dynamics) are the pedal system used on mountain bikes that don't stick out as much so make it easier to walk. If you get spd pedals try and get stiffer soled models of spd shoes as it makes pedalling more efficient especially on hill climbs.

Typical, there would be several different types.

I can't see many Sunday rides. The only one I can see is on the 14th and hilly :S

I haven't added any rides for the weekend yet as I might be out with Martins group.
I could do a slightly slower paced ride with a cafe stop though. I'll see if there's any interest.

Cheers, P.

Ah, I see a flat one. Is it OK to come along if my membership hasn't been processed yet?
