The next Intro Ride will be run on Sunday 7th March and will be lead by myself. This ride caters for anyone who wants to try group riding but isn't sure about riding with a faster group. It will be a steady 30mile flat ride suitable for beginners. The pace will be steady ( 15/16mph) and no one will get left behind.
The route will be something like this: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/36848
The meeting point is at the Gateway pub in Parrs Wood, Didsbury at 9.30am. The Gateway If you're not a member, you're welcome to come on the ride and see what you think. If you decide to join it is £20 for the year and there is an application form available here: Manchester Wheelers Application Form There are a few important points for the intro rides to bear in mind: - obey the rules of the roads including red lights. - we can ride in pairs but no more than 2 abreast and we should be single file on busy roads. - the ride will go at the pace of the slowest rider. If you find it too slow, please don't try and push the pace up. There are plenty of faster rides you can join on another day. - shout up if you want to slow down or stop, its hard to tell from the front. - if you need to stop and turn back let us know so we don't wait or worry. - mudguards are recommended but not essential for this ride. For more info on winter riding, there are some notes here: Winter Guidelines If you have any more questions then please post a message in the Enquiries section of the forum or drop me a pm. If you can't make this ride we aim to run intro rides on the first Sunday of each month, please check the rides page for updates. Manchester Wheelers Rides
