Hello folks,
I've had an enquiry from Patrick Weston trying to contact Willi Moore - he believes that he was a Wheeler as some point. Does anyone remember him? Apparently he was based in Dubai in the 1990's and they used to cycle together out there.
If anyone is still in contact with him please can you let me know and I will pass on Patrick's contact details.

I don't recall Willi Moore being a Wheeler (other than a "Merseyside" Wheeler), but I have only been in "our" Wheelers' since 1985.
Probably John Dawson may be able to be of more help on that.
If it is of interest to Patrick I have a photograph of Willi proudly holding the famous Muratti Gold Cup which he had just won at our Race Meet in 1974.

Thanks Ken. Have already directed Becks onto Google for both Willi and Merseyside Wheelers. Further point of interest - I sat next to him at the Velodrome the day that Chris Boardman broke the Hour Record, when "everyman and his dog was present". A memorable day!!
