At the risk of starting off an enormous thread like last year......As I'm going to miss the Cheshire Cat this year I thought I might do a rerun of last year's route on Sunday. Only planning to do the 66 mile route which will probably work out as an 80 mile ride from the Gateway after accounting for me getting lost etc. I'll put it up on the rides list anyway. Planning to start at 9am sharp. If anyone would like to come please bring food as I may not do a cafe stop until Macc Forest. If anyone wants to do the 102 mile route they're welcome as long as they bring their own map. Could run it as two groups? For 66 mile map see rides list
Ride subject to snow/ice. Will confirm Saturday night edited by charlesg on 17/02/2010
May not do this ride so please check forum Sunday am edited by charlesg on 20/02/2010

I'm planning to give this another go on Saturday Plan is to tag along with the chain gang on Saturday, get dropped at about Seven Sisters Lane, then carry on down to Holmes Chapel and then pick up route at Brereton. If anyone fancies it then they're welcome to come along. Just let me know beforehand but I will wait briefly in Holmes Chapel to see if anyone is up for it.

Top day out yesterday. Thanks to Dave for towing me round the first bit. I met him again at the last feedstop & we finished the ride together with 3 girls from tri team Glos. Strong riders! Loads of banter all day, really enjoyed myself even though I didn't get a Mowcop medal - next year eh.. Saw JC, Jan & Mike C at the start line. Hope you guys had a good 'un. Did anyone else do it (officially or unofficially)?
Cheers, P.

Yeah good to see you Pete, did it 5 hrs 40mins average speed of 17.5 mph with over 5500 ft of climbing (according to my garmin), made it to the top of Mow Cop in under 55 mins, last weeks ride with Martin was perfect training. Seen Pete, Paul Walker(suffered with his ankle all the way round and still did it under 6 hrs), JC - who did it in 5hrs 20 and Tony who rode along with me for the 50 -75 miles stretch who was looking good and was talking about getting back out with us, work weather and family commitments has kept him away. Also saw a couple of other wheelers who i have seen before but don't know there names. What a difference a year makes i couldn't even get half way up Mow Cop last year.
