Where did everyone get to yesterday, around 30 people at the gateway, but only 12 or so left by 7 sisters lane.

Got dropped before Chelford!
Ended up doing the whole route on my own apart from the brief moment that Nick overtook me after he'd had a puncture. Managed to stay on his wheel for all of about 10 seconds. Very depressing

i got a puncture just after alderley and completly lost everyone, where did you all go. I ended up doing a few laps of the club 10 course then heading home. I was hoping you were all doing laps around Jodrell bank.

Had a shocker. Was off the back by the Chelford roundabout, legs on fire and refusing to do any more. Couldn't hold Nick's wheel as he tried to tow me back. Chased for a while, and picked up with Paul W, a chap on a Cervelo, Ben and a fella from Hyde Olympic. Ended up riding as a 5 up chaingang down to Twemlow, passing Nick and JC on the way and picking up the lad in the Cofidis top. Saw Miles briefly, but not sure where he went to. Cut across to the Yellow Broom and then up Pexhill.

Was pretty depressed with my performance, blowing so quickly, but had a decent workout in our little group.

Perhaps next time, it would be a good idea to formally split the groups, say at the junction in Alderley as we get onto the main road (i.e. just before the road works).

Was a brutal day -

Can't quite understand why it got smashed to pieces in a tailwind heading south.

Not a good run at the front on Saturday. Smooth up to Holms Chapel with a few sat on the back and pulling turns when they could, then turned into a ‘peeing competition’ on the bumps on the way back with a couple of the group thinking that a chaingang means go as hard as you possibly can up each drag so that the person who is trying to get your wheel after a nice turn in the red zone has no chance. I threw my toys out of the pram on the bridge at Chelford after chasing back on after the viaduct and out of Badger Bank. Words were exchange with the two culprits at Knutsford and one rode off in a sulk………

Easier than the chaingang? Next Saturday I'm in Manchester I'll try this faster group, might make me abit more confident about racing if it's indeed harder.

18+ riders were lost within 5 miles of starting, and SiB had to chase back on, which means the faster groupt sure is harder than the last CG we did, Will....!

Through and off at 28mph Will - you'd better be getting a 53 ring to save you legs if you want to keep up with that!

This need for a 53 ring confuses me, I can spin fine on a 50ring at well over 30mph :s, although if I have the energy/power to keep up with a group doing through and off at 28mph remains to be seen.
