This saturdays chaingang will be on the Dunham Massey circuit (weather permitting), as last year we will meet up at the gateway at 9.30 or meet at the circuit at 10.15. There will be 2 groups so there shouldn't be anyone getting left behind, however if anyone does get dropped it is a case of either waiting for the 2nd group or recover and wait for your group to come round again, or you can use the lanes that cut across the circuit to get back on if you get dropped.
Any questions please ask.

Martin - will have a drive around it on Fri on my way home from work to see what state it's in after tonights snow - the roads from Flixton / Carrington were not too bad last night - plenty of muck and a few extended potholes etc.

Just a reminder. CG circuit changes tomorrow.
9.30 start at the Gateway or 10.15 at Dunham (see link for map and start point).
Rothers informs me that following his pitch inspection there's a bit of muck in places on the circuit. So you may not want to wear your finest gear...
See you all tomorrow

Loads out today, sorry for the messing about changing circuits, there was ice on the Dunham circuit and the plan B circuit was even worse. The natural splitting of the group into 2 was pretty handy, the second group sticking together pretty well. Don't know how the faster group got on, Nick/Miles/Si?

Hopefully next week we can get on one of the circuits.

Clearly crazy in Manchester today as the GPS went mad again.

Well I managed to hang in with Si, Alex, Nathan, Nathan's brother (sorry didnt get his name), Miles and Steve from Chester. Had to sit in for periods just to hang in there, Nathan battered everyone up the hill from Holmes Chapel viaduct. It was bl**dy good work out though and was happy enough just being able to hold their wheels.

Was a good hard pace as I had 23.6 mph average for the chaingang part and that included the stop/start in Mobberely/Knutsford before we really got going.

Thanks for dragging me round chaps . Same again next week!

Well done Nick, keeping up with that standard of rider shows how well you're going.

Nathans brother is Mark.

Was a damned good ride. Nice to see so many people out. Bodes well for RRing this season.

I can confirm that the pace of the first group was savage! Far too much testosterone on display and a stubborn reluctance from all hands to be the first to wave the white flag and miss a turn. Mark spent the afternoon prostrate on the floor with a bad back, Nathan was last seen weeping and begging for Mars Bars about 5 miles from his home, Ste’s dog had to walk itself in the afternoon and I slept through the 2nd half of the rugby. If Nick is not a 2nd cat by May I will eat my hat.

I can also confirm that hostilities resumed on Overton Hill on Sundays club run!!!

I lasted as far as Knutsford with you boys, Si. I thought my knees and lungs were going to explode simultaneously. Monstrous..!

Will head over for this next sat. Does anyone have contact detailsl for Steve from Chester? I'm living there now so could do with some company on the cycle over.
