couple of q's as I've never entered an open event before.

Section A.... do you just fill in the bit for the distance you are doing? [so line 1 for a 10 miler] or do you need to do lines 6 and 7 too?

Also, whats the cycling time trials levy?

And finally as H Fletcher is the organiser [cheshire points round 2] Do I send and make the chq payable to him?

It doesn't matter what distance event you're entering, your entry form should always list your quickest 10, 25, 50, 100etc ( if you've done them and got a time ) The organiser will use these times to allocate your race number. I have an entry form saved as a master template and update my times on it as and when I get a PB.

I've never completed line 6 or 7, rightly or wrongly!

It's included in the entry fee of £7.00 and not something you need to worry about

In the handbook is it normal to make chqs payable to the event organiser or the club? Some say "make chqs payable to" but most dont.

guys,

not entered a CPS before but want to do as many as poss from here on in.

been on the site but cant find an entry form...can anyone help?

also, other than paying for the entry for each event do i need to register / obtain a membership etc?

finally, is it just a case of filling out an entry form with fee, sending it off and then showing up on the day - or do they notify you of your success of getting a place? do they have cut off dates i.e. 2 weeks before an event?

any help mucho appracited.

cheers, jc.

Here we go...

CTT Entry form:
http://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/AboutCTT/RiderInfo/FormsGuidanceNotes/tabid/77/Default.aspx

Simply send off the completed entry form with a cheque ( cut off is indeed usually 2 weeks before ) You'll get notification either via email or post of your starting time, HQ location etc usually a week before the event.

It does help if you have a CTT handbook as this lists all the events/address details. However if you don't just post up on here and someone will help you out with the details.

Any more questions just ask

This is where you really need a CTT handbook as all the above is listed in the book. You can normally get the price ( £7 or £7.50 is the norm ) and organisers name from the CTT website, however the address to send the payment is very rarely listed on the site.

http://bit.ly/c686s7

Fill out an entry form as normal and a cheque for £7.50 made payable to P Jennings.

When I get home tonight I'll have a nosey in the CTT handbook and get you the address that you need to send the entry/cheque to.

Thumbs Up
