Hi, I'd like to come on this but I have no transport to get me there, I'd cycle there but I have college on Friday.

Any idea how much meals, breakfast and drinks would be?

I'm guessing it'll be really hilly too?

Train. Takes less than 2hours.

Manchester - Chester - Prestatyn. Only a short ride (up a hill) from Prestatyn Station.

I'd like to put my name down for this but will be there early sat and leave sunday evening. it's quite a good area as you can do flat rides on the coast or something a bit more challenging.

i wouldnt mind coming along and will be driving over Saturday morning like yourself. Anyone who wants a lift and share fuel is very welcome. Will be leaving from Prestwich - North Manchester.

I'll be up for this I hope, may ride out on Friday with Martin if I can tag along and then either ride back myself on Sunday or train (or get a lift if a free car space on Sunday night).

I was meant to arrange a b&b trip but with my lack of winter bike and coughing up gallons of phlegm between Oct-Dec never got to it so thanks Martin and Nick for suggesting this.

Lets not rush things Nick! Now if one of has a mechanical breakdown, if we take a Manchester taxi number with us will it come and pick us up...

I might come just for the Saturday ride.

Currently there's too much snow for any riding there at the moment though.

Would have liked to join in on this but I'll be returning from the Alps that weekend. Maybe next time. Still haven't managed to ride in Wales

Okay, with a few emails and pm's I've also received it looks like we've already filled our quota of 10 beds. However, if you're interested and haven't posted up yet please do so I can firm up commitments from people and check capacity at the pub.

Looking at train times, anyone getting the train from Manc would need to get the 7.50am arriving Prestatyn at 9.33 at the latest, otherwise the ride would be starting too late. Ideally we want to be riding by 10 latest on the Saturday to make a day of it. So if its possible to offer a lift out there and you've not done so, please let me know and we can match people up, shared petrol costs and all that!

Will, have you decided if you are coming or not?

Aye if someone is willing to give me a lift, depending on fuel costs, I don't like trains, it's bad enough messing with trains with the bike when I go back home.

I can testify that there will be zero issues on that line on a Saturday morning. The line is only busy around rush hour between Manchester/Warrington/Chester.

You could also do Friday night, the train will be dead quiet then. I can assure you that it wouldn't be a faff.

leave him alone, you were moaning about catching the bus to work in the city centre from Didsbury the other day....

But that's only because it required me to deal with people first thing in the morning.
