Can someone remind me where I have to send my subs to and how much it was? I am sure I saw it mentioned somewhere but can't find it!

Hi Dave,

It's £20, and post it to John Dawson (look in club contacts list for address).

The Club Rule Book states when Subscriptions are due: there was a reminder in the October 2009 Journal and the Financial Secretary's address is on the inside cover of every Journal together with the addresses of all Club Officials!!

Thanks Si. No address needed there then and you may have to give your subs to Ian Jones, as he will be in the Fin. Sec. chair by then. All being well!!

Yes Will. However, if it's after December 7th it will have to be Ian Jones' House as, alll being well, he will then be Fin.Sec.

[quote=]Annual Subsciptions are due at the beginning of each Financial Year. The Financial Secretary will send reminders for payment when these are due.

Does this mean I'm still a member till April?

And if we get sent a reminder for payment, that means we don't need to fill out the form again>?

From the Club Rules:

3. SUBSCRIPTIONS

(a) Annual Subscriptions shall be as follows:

Senior Member (18 years, and over.) £20.00
Junior Member (16 to 17 incl.) £10.00
Juvenile/Youth Member (11 to 15 incl.) £10.00

Juvenile/Youth Subscriptions shall include membership of British Cycling or membership of Cyclists’ Touring Club, whichever is the preference of the Juvenile/Youth member.

(b) Subscriptions for the current financial year shall be due on the 1st November. A member elected after 31st August shall not be liable for the ensuing year's subscription.

(c) No member may participate in any Club event or be affiliated to any other Organisation until his/her subscription has been paid for the current year. A member who has not paid his/her subscription by 28th February shall, on a resolution by the Committee, have his/her name removed from the list of members.

No, your membership follows the Club's financial year, not 12 months in line with when you paid.

Nope. Just send a cheque, together with your name and address to Ian or to me.

What this means is that the subcriptions for the financial year running November 2009 to November 2010 are due now. Please send cheques direct to Ian Jones (Fin Sec) or to me (PM me for address). And, if you haven't paid by 28 Feb 2010 your membership for this year lapses, and you can't ride or race in Wheelers colours. So get those cheques in...!

Would it be possible for me to drop it off at your house? And would it be possible for me to use a 20 quid note instead as I don't have a cheque book.

Nice to see you're getting tough with the "non payers", Tom. A man after my own heart!! I am still getting Subs in dribs and drabs, as no one knows there has been a change of Fin. Sec. except those who were at the AGM. If Ian could send a reminder by Email to all those who haven't yet paid and there are still a great number, it will help see this annual thorny subject to a satisfactory conclusion!! Cheers! PS. Don't forget the "Box Tickers".

Tough love, John. It's in their interest to pay up!

An email is going out shortly with a further reminder, and details of Ian's address. If you want to send anything to me, that's fine too.

I've just read the club newsletter that was emailed today, and noticed that Ian Jones has changed address since the last Club Membership list, April 2009. I believe he's now in Chortlton.

The subs that I posted last year have been sent to his old address in Didsbury.

I'm assuming this was mentioned in the 'change of address' section in the back of a recent club journal, but I'll be honest in that I've only managed to skim through the last couple of journals - so that's my fault for not noticing !

Just thought it's worth warning anyone else not to use the address listed in the official membership list - although I suspect I'm the only one to have made this error !!

I'm guessing Ian will be at the forthcoming track night, so Ian, if you're reading this, I'll see you there with a cheque (p.s. I did leave you a voicemail last year, so hopefully you've not changed phone number too !)
