Just a quick reminder that you can now claim for the club awards or standards. You need to send the relevant result sheets to Ian Wilkinson by 8th October at the latest.
Full details are in the club handbook but for a quick reminder on what you can claim: http://www.manchesterwheelers.co.uk/about-us/club-awards.htm edited by viv on 25/09/2009

Ant,
Send Ian an email with what distance you are claiming for, what Class ( First, Second or Third ) and the date and time you did. ( if it was an open event then you attach the result sheet ) In your case it was a club 10 so the info can be obtained from the website....
10 Mile ( Club 10 ) 27th Aug Third Class - 00:24:55
You don't need to-do/send anything for the handicap trophy/award....

Heres the official info from Mr Wilkinson...
This year has seen many Club members competing in various disciplines of cycling. To recognise performances and achievements, please could you remind everyone that it is there own responsibility to claim for an award. Please see details below that appeared in the July Journal.
- Once again we may have Club members who are eligible for the M & DTTA, Wagstaff Memorial Award. I have attached details on the procedure to claim. - As per details in the July Club Journal, Club members are reminded to submit any claims for Club Standards & Club Championships for this year, as per Rule 8l & 8m. Details are also shown of Trophy descriptions. - At present I have received only one claim from Simon Morton ( Thanks ). It is extremely important that all claims are submitted to the General Secretary by the 8th October, so that the Club committee can make there final decisions at the October committee meeting, prior to the Annual Dinner & Prize Presentation on Saturday 14th November 2009. - As I do not have regular email access it would be appreciated if all Club members submitting a claim would send details via post, with details of performances & times, for the award being claimed for. - Remember that if no claims are received, Club members only have themselves to blame if the Club Standard certificate or Club Trophy is not awarded that they may be eligible for.
I have attached a word document with an explanation of Rule 8l & 8m if any Club member needs clarification.
I look forwards to receiving your claim by the 8th October.
Kind Regards , Ian Wilkinson General Secretary

Further to all that has been written so far, I just want to test your "grey matter" even more. It may be that in the Club Championships, ( Road Race,Track and BARs, those who will have finished 2nd or 3rd in a Category will not have sent in claims. The committee will consider all claims such as these, so that a full picture of all the Championships will emerge and commensurate rewards given. Get your thinking caps on!! Cheers. John 123.
