There have been quite a few discussions over the past months about restricting the forum to members only so it doesn't become 'just another bike forum'. This was agreed at the last meeting so I have now set that up - if there are any problems let me know. There is a non members section so that potential members and friends can still post. Hopefully this will keep both sides happy but we will see how it goes.
As with many things these days, we have to be careful with legal requirements so recently we asked all users of the forum to agree to an acceptable use policy. It may seem overly formal but unfortunately that's the way things are and it is something we needed to do. If you didnt recieve this by email or haven't replied, you may find you have been locked out. If thats the case, please read the policy which you can download from the website terms and conditions page. If you agree with it, you need to send an email to forumadmin@manchesterwheelers.co.uk with the following information:
- Full name, email address and forum username. - Non members also need to give your address, phone number and date of birth.
Apologies in advance to anyone that replied but i missed. Again, email forumadmin@manchesterwheelers.co.uk with your details and i will check for you. Last reminder, all members have a login to the website to add rides, events and results - you can get your password emailed to you from the forgotten password page if you don't know your details.
If you're not a member and are looking for more information about the club or how to join, please check the website and if you need to know more, you can post in the non members section or send an email to admin@manchesterwheelers.co.uk.
Phew, glad that's over. Sorry to be so formal and dull - now back to cycling... edited by admin on 06/04/2009
